Brief Bio

Tess Evans is an Associate Teaching Professor in the Professional Writing Program at Miami University of Ohio. She teaches Professional Communication for Business, Professional Communication for Data Analytics, and Technical Writing (on-ground, hybrid, and online). Her teaching and research interests include professional and technical writing and online/hybrid writing instruction. Her work has been published in Rhetoric Review, The Proceedings of the Computers and Writing Conference, the Online Literacies Open Resource (OLOR), and several edited collections. Tess is a past Secretary and Treasurer for GSOLE, and she has served as Conference Co-Chair of the GSOLE Visions and Sites of Online Literacy Education Conference (2022, 2023, and 2024).
