The second session in the 2023-2024 GSOLE Webinar Series
In response to the evolving landscape of online education, "Reimagining Online Technical Writing: Feminist, Disability, and Transnational Perspectives in UX/UI Design," will propel instructional design into new realms of inclusivity and global awareness. While the incorporation of feminist, disability, and transnational perspectives into UX/UI design holds transformative potential, it is essential to recognize the complexity of accommodating disability in digital spaces. We will delve into the multifaceted nature of this challenge, discussing the paradoxes and nuances that arise when seeking to create universally accessible designs. Our aim is to foster an understanding that designing for disability is not a one-size-fits-all approach but rather an ongoing dialogue that requires continuous adaptation. In this webinars, participants will deconstruct existing online platforms, analyzing their design from feminist, disability, and transnational perspectives, thus cultivating a critical eye for identifying opportunities for improvement.
