Hi Friends,
The Online Writing Instruction (OWI) Standing Group, which is part of the Conference on College Composition and Communication (CCCC), is conducting a survey of anyone who teaches writing in an online environment, full or part-time. The purpose of this study is to replicate a 2011 survey and report on The State-of-the-Art of OWI. Our goal is to create a 10-year picture of the developments of online writing instruction, including taking into account the 2020-2021 COVID-19 pandemic and the shift to emergency remote teaching.
The survey does not require that you share any identifying information, but it does give you the option to link to a separate survey where you can provide contact information if you are willing to participate in an interview or focus group which will be scheduled at a later date. These two surveys are separate, so your contact information will not make your first survey responses identifiable. This survey should take you about 15 minutes to complete.
Please feel free to share this survey with applicable colleagues, listservs, and social media groups.
If you are interested in taking the survey, follow this link: State of the Art of OWI 2021
